Storage Boxes & Dividers FAQs
What's the difference between a corrugated box and the Magnetic Lid box?▼
Our Corrugated Comic Storage Boxes are the classic, economical choice: sturdy fold-assembled cardboard that is standard for simply organizing or storing your collection. The Magnetic Lid Comic Storage Box steps it up. It features distinctly strong and durable cardboard, with an elegant, semi-glossy wrap. A secure magnetic lid is attached to the body of the box, providing convenience and protection. The magnetic lid box is built and designed to help collections stay organized and safe for years to come.
What's the difference between a short box and a long box?▼
It's about how many comics you need to fit. Our Short Corrugated Box or magnetic lid box holds 150 to 175 current or silver age comics. The Long Corrugated Box gives you an extra 12 inches of length for a larger collection. Both come with handles on each end and a convenient removable lid.
Do you have boxes made for graded comics or magazines?▼
Yes. Our Graded Comic Storage Box is sized specifically for comics that have been professionally graded and sealed in a hard plastic case, so your slabs stack and store just as easily as a raw comic would. And if magazines or golden age comics are part of your collection, the Magazine Storage Box is built to fit those larger issues, using the same corrugated construction as our other boxes.
What are comic dividers for, and which one do I need?▼
Dividers help you sort a box into sections: by title, by run, or however you organize your collection. All our dividers are durable and rigid polypropylene . The Standard Divider stands about 1/4 inch above your comics. The Tall Divider stands about 3/4 inch above. This makes labels easier to spot, but it may be too tall for storage box lids. And the Comic Book Divider with Folding Tab gives you that same tall tab, but folds down flat when you want to put the lid back on.
Can I store or carry just a few comics without a full box?▼
Yes, our Comic Book Box Folio is the smaller-scale option. It holds up to 14 bagged and boarded Current or Silver Age issues in one magnetic-closure case, so it's an easy way to carry favorites to a show or your local comic shop without hauling a full storage box.
